I’m Meg, a painter currently living in the Kent countryside. I share a home with my fiancé Matt and our cat, Toby (often known as Bean).
I grew up on the Isle of Wight, just five minutes from the sea, where my love of painting first began. I’d make seascapes to sell at my auntie’s campsite and post very over-edited photos on Instagram back when it was still finding its feet (yes, the Valencia filter reigned supreme). From there, I started creating pet portraits for friends and family and over the years I’ve explored all sorts of mediums and subjects.
At the start of 2025, after a holiday to Greece with Matt, I found myself scrolling through my camera roll, lingering on all the photos I’d taken of our meals out, simple, wholesome moments that became the highlight of our trip. I realised these memories deserved to be more than just snapshots buried in my phone, so I began painting them. That’s when my love for tablescapes really blossomed.
Since August, I’ve been working on my debut collection, Hot Mess, a love letter to girlhood, self-expression, and the beautiful chaos of everyday life. It’s a collection built from rituals: the tiny ones we rarely think about but feel deeply. The moments that recharge us, shape us, ground us and remind us who we are beneath all the roles we juggle.
I look forward to sharing more moments with you ♥
