A woman with short brown hair and a light green sleeveless top sitting next to a painting on an easel. The painting depicts a still life with wine glasses, oysters, a bottle labeled 'El Vino,' and a plate of pasta. There are also potted plants nearby, including a cactus and a monstera, in a room with gray walls.
Painting of a latte inside a cup and a cinnamon roll on a yellow-green background, with pastel markers nearby.

The word 'about me' written in large, lowercase gray letters with a period at the end, on a transparent background.

I’m Meg, a painter currently living in the Kent countryside. I share a home with my fiancé Matt and our cat, Toby (often known as Bean, Tobe, Mr Beanez & many other silly names).

I grew up on the Isle of Wight about 5 minutes from the sea, which is where I first fell in love with painting. Creating seascapes that I would try and sell in my aunties campsite and sharing over edited pictures on instagram, which was still in its very early days (picture Valencia filter on everything!).

My surroundings have always had a massive influence on my art. I’m forever drawn to muted, earthy colours that wouldn’t look out of place in nature.

I specialise in capturing special moments around the table. Although I like to be quite impulsive with my subject matter and brushstrokes. I love being able to bring other people’s memories to life, please feel free to email me on hellomegancleasby@gmail.com if you are interested in something bespoke.

I look forward to sharing more moments with you ♥
