I'm Meg, an oil painter, working from my small attic studio in Kent.
As a small business owner, I wear many hats. Alongside being the artist, I'm also customer support, print and packaging manager, ‘content creator’, and everything else in between. I balance my business with a part-time role as a graphic designer, while investing as much time, energy and passion as I can into growing this dream into my full-time career.
I live with my fiancé, Matt, and our cat, Toby (lovingly known as Bean). I grew up on the Isle of Wight, and sold my very first seascape painting at my auntie's campsite. What once began as a childhood hobby, has grown into a dedicated practice centred on capturing the beauty of shared moments and everyday nostalgia through oil on canvas.
My portfolio is constantly evolving, but one thing remains the same: my love of painting and preserving memories through art.
My current collection is inspired by the British seaside, bringing to life the familiar scenes and nostalgic moments that define our warmer months. I’ve drawn inspiration from my own memories of summers back home on the Island.
Alongside this, I'm slowly developing a new body of work celebrating popular music culture, reimagining iconic album artwork in oil paint, including pieces inspired by Lily Allen's ‘West End Girl’ and Harry Styles’ ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’.
Thank you so much for being here - I can't wait to share many more moments with you ♥
