West End Girl is deeply inspired by Lily Allen’s latest album which I had on repeat while painting this, so it only felt right to honour it within the piece itself. Lily has always had this incredible ability to tell a story with a sharp clarity and unapologetic honesty, something I’m striving to echo throughout this collection.
This painting is the embodiment of girlhood. A celebration of those soul-filling moments with your friends, where the setting becomes completely irrelevant because the company is everything. It captures the nights where conversation stretches for hours but somehow feels like minutes; the moments that ground you, recharge you and remind you who you are.
