This & yap was one of the pieces that kickstarted the Hot Mess collection. I’ve always been more of a daytime girly (I love an early night), so coffee dates are my favourite kind of date. This painting is inspired by that essential catch-up with your best friend, the kind where you finally offload all the frustrations that have been quietly piling up until they start to melt away.
I wanted this piece to feel like a gentle nudge toward a memory; the friend who grounds you, who listens, who makes everything feel a little lighter just by being there.
